Corporal Naz Yangco began his law enforcement career in 2000 when he enlisted in the US Army National Guard as a Military Policeman. In 2004, Cpl. Yangco joined Summerville Police Department. Cpl. Yangco was been deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and Baghdad, Iraq.
Cpl. Yangco is a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. . Cpl. Yangco serves as a Field Training Officer and has collateral duties for the Department as a member of the Emergency Services Unit. Cpl Yangco's K-9 partner " Ryu" is a Dual purpose male German Shepherd that was imported from the Czech Republic. Cpl. Yangco joined the K-9 unit in November 2010 after completing an extensive four week
Police K-9 school in North Carolina. Cpl. Yangco has received training in Advanced Criminal Procedures, Advanced DUI, Specific Skills Instructor, Desert Snow Phase 7, DEA Basic Narcotics School, Charleston City SWAT School, and FBI CQB school. Cpl. Yangco is a proud member of the National Criminal
Enforcement Association and the Fraternal Order of Police Tri-County Lodge 3.
